Coffee was in my blood from the start, my family had a coffee farm in Machakos, Kenya producing rich Arabica beans. The farm was very small but gave a good living.

Back in sunny Britain, I wanted to start a club for people who enjoy jolly fine coffee but don't have a barista on the staff. The Nespresso®* brand coffee machines are fabulously convenient and produce absolutely first rate coffee but I thought that some customers would want a choice of where to buy their coffee from.

Perhaps people who wanted to buy from coffee lovers who know what it's like to grow coffee on a farm. Perhaps people who like the idea of the coffee being roasted in traditional drum roaster. Perhaps people who are looking for something a little different from corporate coffee.

Finally, I know that things are difficult right now for a lot of people so I thought it would be nice to make coffee a bit more affordable.
